Many Americans were crying not only in their living rooms, but also on Twitter and Facebook. ObamaFarewell was trending like wildfire. However, many Americans, like me, were not listening to the soothing tone he delivered his speech in, but instead listening to the words. And what we found, contradicted cold hard facts.
Now, I have already created a YouTube video going over the points, but I would like to go over in writing what I found. So let’s get started. 🙂
Lie Number 1: Longest Stretch of Job Creation in our History
According to the Bureau of Labor Statics, when Obama was sworn into office in January 2008, unemployment was at 5.0%. However, by January 2012, when he was re-elected, it was at 8.3%. Not until September 2015 did we see it hit 5.0% again, and keep dropping.
Lie(Okay, more of a moral issue) Number 2: We Opened a New Chapter with the Cuban People
Congratulations, Obama, you made friendly with one of the most notorious dictators in history. Hope the cigars are worth it.
Lie Number 3: We shut down Iran’s nuclear weapons system
So just because we paid known terrorists $400 million to shut down their nuclear weapon’s system, we are just supposed to take their word that they did that? Are you stupid? These people have over 70 verses in their holy book on how to kill infidels. And hint, hint; that is us. So yes, let’s give money (we don’t have) to a country that hates us, just so we have their word they won’t blow us up. I’ve seen a drunk monkey with a fork and a light socket make better decisions.
Lie Number 4: Affordable Health Care Insurance for 20 Million of our fellow Citizens
For this purpose, I’m not going to dive as deep as I can into this issue, however, I do have a YouTube video up discussing this lie in detail. But I will say, that thanks to the premium hikes this year, it not only is driving out the free market, but also costing people thousands of dollars. In Colorado alone, ACA premiums went up 12%. And to top it off, Arizona’s more than doubled, according to the Kaiser Family Foundation. This alone is enough to disprove that it is in fact, not affordable.
Lie Number 5: “I committed to President-Elect Trump that my administration would ensure the smoothest possible transition”
I could not help but laugh at this. According to CBS, Obama defends the Black Lives Matter movement, stating, “One of the great things about America is that individual citizens and groups of citizens can petition their government, can protest, can speak truth to power”. Last I checked, flipping cop cars, destroying public property, and shooting cops is not free speech, it is criminal activity.
Our president went on to say, “the point was to raise issues… I think what you’re seeing now is part of that long standing tradition”. MLKJ is rolling in his grave over that. BLM is in no way a group raising issues facing our society, it is a hate group focused on destroying rather that creating.
This is just one example of how rough Obama is trying to make the transition for president-elect Trump.
Lie Number 6: “After all, we remain the wealthiest, most powerful, and most respected nation on Earth. Our youth and drive, our diversity and openness, our boundless capacity for risk and reinvention mean that the future should be ours”
First of all, wealthiest? We owe China over $1 trillion, not to mention the $400 million we gave to Iran.
Second, most respected? His apology tour made us a laughing stock. Not to mention spat in the face of every American veteran. Not only that, it gave young Americans the idea that it was okay to disrespect the flag, and sit during the national anthem.
And finally, openness? He preached this pretentious bull-crap in the same city where a disabled man was beaten while his captors screamed “F*** Trump” and “F*** white people”. If this is his idea of openness, then he needs to pull his head out from where he has it lodged and see what’s going on in his country.
Lie Number 7: The Unemployment Rate is at a Ten Year Low
Again, I’m going to preach facts from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. When Obama was sworn in in 2008, unemployment was 5.0%, and yet when he was re-elected in 2012 it was at 8.3%. It didn’t start going back down until the following year. While in December 2016, unemployment was at 4.7%, this is hardly worth bragging about.
Lie Number 8: “There’s a second threat to our democracy – one as old as our nation itself. After my election, there was talk of a post-racial America. Such a vision, however well-intended, was never realistic. For race remains a potent and often divisive force in our society.”
This is coming from the man who divided American against itself. He pushed black against white, cops against civilians, republicans against democrats. And you want to talk about race relations and how we need to come together? Nice try.
Lie Number 9: “After all, if every economic issue is framed as a struggle between a hardworking white middle class and undeserving minorities, then workers of all shades will be left fighting for scraps while the wealthy withdraw further into their private enclaves”
Let’s get this straight, you make $400,000 a year as president and you want to bash on the wealthy? Isn’t that the pot calling the kettle black?
And another thing, you endorsed someone who spurred on this so called struggle the entire election. Not only that, she called many hardworking, middle class workers (of every race and ethnicity) deplorable. No wonder you all lost the election.
Lie Number 10: “When voting rates are some of the lowest among advanced democracies, we should make it easier, not harder, to vote”
According to multiple sources, there was an estimated 3 million fraudulent votes in the 2016 election alone. This includes dead people, aliases, and illegal aliens. Voter laws are in place to weed out voter fraud.
And on a humorous note, even with with all this voter fraud, Trump still won.
This was just ten of the contradictory and false statements made by our president in his farewell address. However, through a little bit of research, anyone can see the honey coated crap he spews is utter nonsense. And personally, I would rather have a president who speaks like a blue collared “deplorable” than a crooked, white collared liar.
